Need a candidate with 5 years or less of experience Position Summary This is a multicraft position that is distinguished from other Maintenance A jobs in that it requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC driven equipment in addition to other electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery. It involves the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping and electrical systems in plant following specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings; using measuring instruments. Duties/Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair PLC driven equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, size, wire and build; Motor control stop/start circuits with motor protection. Troubleshoot, diagnose, wire, integrate and program; PLC’s and AC inverters. Troubleshoot, diagnose, wire, integrate and setup; DC Rectifiers. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, wire, integrate, calibrate and build; Sensing and gauging systems with controls and indicators. Calculate, size and distribute electrical loads and size branch circuits. Troubleshoot and isolate Electronic Control Board problems. Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, apparatus and electrical components of machines and equipment. Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus for machinery, equipment and building. Dismantle machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery. Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction. Perform necessary welding and sheet metal operations required in repairing equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery. Track, record, and document asset time usage. Follow all safety and environmental regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Education/Knowledge:
High school diploma or general equivalent degree (GED). Specialized training in PLC’s or equivalent work experience.
Skills:
Requires ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC driven machinery. Must be able to read and understand repair manuals, wiring diagrams, machine diagrams, and other resource materials in order to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. Must be able to use and understand various types of precision measuring instruments and interpret their data as needed to perform the above tasks. Must be able to safely and efficiently use tools and other equipment to accomplish the tasks required above.
