Pike, NH Salary up to $20hr The Maintenance Technician isresponsible for the overall upkeep and safety protocols of ourbuildings and facilities. The Maintenance Technician will performroutine and preventative maintenance to preserve the physicalintegrity of Mount Prospect Academy (MPA) facilities. The positionconducts residential maintenance repairs and is responsible for thecleanliness and upkeep of property grounds, facilities, streets,equipment, and various utility systems. Some tasks can includedrywall repair, door and hinge repair, fire drills, working withexternal vendors, facility checklists and walkthroughs for safety,flooring, painting, vendor management, vehicle maintenance, etc.

There are two facilities this position will be responsible forwithin a 5-mile distance. One is an 18-bed home for students, andthe other is the school they attend daily with up to 25 students.

Summary:

Responsibilities and Duties:

Complete routine maintenance and minor repairs to all facilityand grounds as needed. Complete checklist of physical condition of the site weekly forroutine maintenance and improvement. Ensures that all lawns are manicured appropriately. Regularly treats for weeds, Rake leaves, plants trees or otherfoliage, trims shrubs and hedges, cuts and removes damaged treelimbs, and performs other lawn care services as necessary. Ensures buildings, grounds, and facilities are alwayspresentable and inviting. Assist with management of service contractors. Inspect recreational amenities to ensure all is in goodcondition, making minor repairs as needed. Maintain vehicles and or other equipment as needed and withinabilities. Follows safety procedures while performing duties, includingsafely operating vehicles when moving from site to site and pickingup supplies. Keeps vehicle records, vehicles properly gassed, and ensuresvehicles are up to compliance. Communicates daily with program administration and otherstaff. Provides on-call support to the program for all physicalfacility related issues, and any emergency issues that arise at anytime. All maintenance related tasks including flooring, buildingdamage repair, electrical and heating, painting, plumbing, airconditioning, safety inspection, and any other maintenance relatedissues. Review maintenance request log daily and ensure items areaddressed in a timely fashion. Fire safety protocol followed and managed according to firesafety compliance. Oversee contract work as needed. Upkeep of the property as needed, snow removal, gardening, lawnmowing, etc. Management of the locks and keys for the building. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. Qualifications:
