Apartment Maintenance Technician Sherrill Realty Company Inc 2115 15th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 Sherrill Realty Company is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. We own and service several apartments and houses in the City of Tuscaloosa. •
HVAC CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
• Ideal candidate for Maintenance Technician position should have general maintenance experience, knowledge of appliance repair, carpentry, sheet rock repair, painting, plumbing, and electrical.
Responsibilities include:
general repair of the exterior and interior of properties; repairing windows, tiles, floors, walls, doors, fixtures, etc.; working with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure vacant apartments are made ready for occupancy in a timely manner; repairing and maintaining plumbing and electrical systems; and general appliance repair. Must be able to work under pressure of deadlines and have ability to work a flexible schedule that may include after hour and weekend emergencies.
Requirements:
Must be detail oriented and a team player Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Must abide by all company rules and regulations Always display a friendly and courteous attitude towards residents Complete service requests in a timely fashion on a daily basis Accurately document work performed on service requests Must provide all basic tools and have ability to operate all necessary tools Ability to work full-time hours with possibility of some weekends Ability to climb stairs/ladders Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Ability to kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, etc. to reach items in need of repair Must be able to pass criminal background checks Pay and living arrangements negotiable after probationary period of employment.
