Description:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Performs various tasks associated with the inspection, root causefailure analysis and repairs of mechanical systems. This includespreventative maintenance and troubleshooting of plantequipment.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

Performs tasks associated with maintaining mechanical systemsthroughout the plant. Work with contractor personnel and ensure quality control aswell as productivity. Participates in formal and on-the job training programs toacquire/broaden both technical and non-technical job skills;participates in cross training activities. Interacts with members of Process Areas on a regular basis togather or communicate information, solve problems, etc Assists with preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.

Services and lubricates plant equipment as required. Suggests programs that reduce/contain costs and/or increaseproductivity. Takes independent action to resolve problems whenappropriate. Participates in team meetings. Applies skills and performs work in other positions asassigned. Works rotating shift schedule and weekends as assigned. Supports other plant functions as assigned. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving andadhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all workenvironments and areas. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education:

High School diploma/

GED Additional Education:

Two years technical college in a relatedsubject is preferred.

Required Experience:

2-4 years industrial experience as amillwright is required. Experience with rebuilding gear boxes,shaft alignment on heavy industrial equipment, bearing installationis desired.

Additional Requirements:

Knowledge of overall cement plant operations, or comparableheavy industrial environment, is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving andadhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all workenvironments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibitthese behaviors. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols andproper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment(“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employees thatare required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where therespirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative andquantitative fit tests.
