Maintenance Technician Position Available In Walker, Alabama

Position involves performing routine and preventative maintenance to ensure the hotel’s facilities and equipment are in excellent working condition. Duties include diagnosing and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues; conducting regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas; responding promptly to maintenance requests; and, ensuring compliance with safety and brand standards.

Skills required include experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs. Strong problem-solving ability, communication skills, and customer service skills are also required. Hotel maintenance experience is preferred. The ability to work independently and follow safety procedures is needed.

The candidate will need experience with a variety of tools including basic power tools, basic HVAC tools, plumbing equipment, and electrical tools. This person should also be familiar with general maintenance equipment and building systems. The person in this position will need to pay strong attention to details, be reliable, and possess a positive attitude. Handling physical tasks will be required. Hotel or hospitality experience is a plus.

This job requires that the person expect to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Relevant training or certifications in maintenance, HVAC, and related fields are a plus. There is no education requirement however a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Candidates should be at least 18 years old. Starting pay is $13.50 per hour. Pay will depend on experience level of the candidate. Paychecks are issued weekly. Regular hours are 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime will be available on an as needed basis.
