Job Description
•Digital assessment test is required to bepleted within 14 days of submitting application.
This is an industrial maintenance position responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of equipment throughout the Big River Steel Facility.
Ensure safety, environmental, and quality requirements are followed and a priority
Ensure good housekeeping practices are carried out in the job areas and grounds
Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and repairplex mechanical and electrical equipment
Install and/or modify mechanical and electrical equipment following proper codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, and other specifications
Assist operational personnel as needed for operational tasks that are needed to successfully support production.
Ensure proficiency by using precision measuring devices. (ex. Feeler gauges, dial indicators, calipers)
Assist maintenance teams in need, in other departments across the mill when circumstances arise
Preferred Skills:
Ability to maintain and troubleshoot VFD motor control systems
Basic PLC programming experience
Ability to use mechanical ingenuity and make decisions in a fast paced production environment in a safe and efficient manner
Adaptability to accept changes in job duties and eagerness to learn and apply new knowledge
Reliable team player with goodmunication skills
Highly motivated, self-directed, and willing to put in extra hours when needed
Experienced with mobile equipment
