Position Summary The Maintenance Technician supports the plantneeds regarding all automation equipment to achieve the productionplan and improve on process performance and preventive maintenance.

Support and actively manage troubleshooting and preventivemaintenance program to maximize equipment availability, minimizedowntime hours, and optimize production. Duties are performed in ahigh-volume high-speed manufacturing environment where individualsare involved with overhauling equipment and the installation of newequipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform machineand systems troubleshooting and repair, assist engineering andplant staff with the installation and modification of integratedsystems. Provide technical support where needed.
  • Perform basicand routine machine maintenance functions for production machineryto support operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance accordingto schedule to ensure equipment remains in peak operatingcondition. Perform corrective maintenance as required.
  • SupportPLC programming and software system diagnostics as well as visionand control systems.
  • Install and modify integrated systems toimprove upon current equipment performance.
  • Interface with otherdepartments to provide and obtain information necessary to completeassigned equipment maintenance, changeover, testing and return tooperation.
  • Maintain logs to document testing and operation ofequipment. Maintain assigned equipment and work areas in a safe,clean and orderly fashion.
  • Coordinate activities to ensuredepartmental compliance to all Federal, State, Local and Companyregulatory requirements. These elements include FDA, EPA, OSHA,ISO, EEOC and Company policies relative to the manufacture ofproduct, lot control requirements, documentation requirements,housekeeping, preventive maintenance, associate training, andsafety (equipment, associate, and material).
  • Perform these andother duties as necessary or required, the inclusion of which willnot alter the basic scope of the position
  • Work on specialprojects as they arise Knowledge and Skills
  • Must be able to readand understand procedures, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Solidcomputer skills (MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)). Oracle, orsimilar system experience highly desirable.
  • Excellentverbal/written communication and customer service skills
  • Highlydisciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting teamplayer with a strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated and ability towork independently.
  • Demonstrate ability to manipulate varioushand and power tools safely and competently.
  • Strong mechanicalaptitude needed.
  • Knowledge of the following equipment: handtools, drills, and power tools.
  • Practical knowledge of electricaldrawings and PLC logic. Minimum Qualifications, Education andExperience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimumof five years of work experience as a Technician on automatedassembly equipment. Two to three years in electronics/mechanics.
  • Must be 18 years of age. Work Environment
  • Work is performed in aclean room environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job,the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods oftime; depending on the machine.
  • Required to use computer or touchscreen to enter work order data.
  • Must be able to occasionallymove and lift objects of up to 35lbs.
