Opportunity:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will work with the team and/or team lead to repair and replace pumps and motors, diagnose issues with CNC machines as well as hydraulic and pneumatic presses, waterjet and 5 axis lasers.

Location:

Plainville, CT This is a full-time role working Monday through Friday with occasional on-call weekends.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair breakdowns of various machines and equipment and facilities
Keep inventory of shop supplies and parts and report to the Lead.
Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and machinery by scheduled deadline
Assist with snow removal around facility entrances/stairs to keep employees safe
Assist EHS with hazardous waste accumulation area checks, safety walks.
Keeping the shop and work area clean while maintaining a safe working area
Looking up parts to make necessary repairs and communicating back to the department lead.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
2 years of maintenance and/or mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment including the following:
Hydraulic trouble shooting and repair experience
120-480 volt 3 phase electrical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong Mechanical skills
Strong trouble shooting skills
Forklift/ Man lift experience
PLC trouble shooting experience
Experience rebuilding pumps
Plumbing, light carpentry experience
Welding experience
CNC repair/operating experience
Willingness to learn new skills
Self-starter/motivated team player
Willingness to work on call weekend rotation

Physical Requirements:

Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
Must be able to climb ladder, work on platforms, and climb stairs.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions
