DESCRIPTION

Address day to day maintenanceissues that impact the factory’s ability to manufacture product.

Collaborate with peers, engineers, and managers to ensure buildingsystems and manufacturing equipment is operating safely andefficiently.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

/n

  • Design, layout,construct, install and service structural metal (either soldered,riveted or welded jobs) and heavy construction pipe systems,including steam, hydraulic, low/high pressure pneumatic, vacuum,industrial production and processing system. /n
  • Ability toutilize drawings, schematics, blueprints, specifications, sketchesand verbal instructions. /n
  • Construct guards, cyclone or othercomplicated exhaust systems, and air and water tight containers.

Replace expansion joints in pressured air/water/steam lines. /n

  • Install and/or repair plumbing equipment and fixtures includingplastic, ceramic, and metal. /n
  • Ability to set up and operate abrake shear, rolling machine, welding equipment, etc. /n
  • Abilityto use hand tools and measuring devices. /n
  • Disassemble or set upall manner of machinery or related equipment. /n
  • Work closelywith engineers, peers, and other team members in designing,creating, and maintaining complete systems including all heavyconstruction/facilities, structural, plumbing, water/steam linesand drains. /n
  • Requires minimal supervision on assigned projects./n
  • Ability to troubleshoot, assist troubleshooting, install,repair, and maintain production equipment. /n
  • Ability to use acomputer and internal applications to monitor progress on assignedtasks. /n
  • Ability to collaborate with outside contractors,vendors, and agencies as required. Ability to source replacementparts and equipment. /n
  • Assist with layout, design, andrelocation of office and factory equipment. /n
  • Must attend andcomplete required trainings identified by the company. /n
  • Maintain parts and tool inventory. /n
  • Other tasks and duties asassigned and required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE,SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

EXPERIENCE

Requires trade school completion (post high school) with practicaltraining in a recognized trade or craft (plumbing, HVAC,electrical, carpentry) and three to five years of relevantexperience.

LANUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpretblueprints, engineering specifications, and technical procedures.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questionsfrom engineers and managers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to applyadvanced shop math concepts such as fractions, ratios, proportions,percentages, area, circumference, and volume to practicalsituations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collectdata, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability tointerpret an extensive variety of technical instructions inmathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract andconcrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Posthigh school trade school certificate.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be thoroughly familiar with Joint Industry Council (J.I.C.)hydraulics, pneumatic standards, and industrial ventilation.
