Machine Maintenance Technician 2.2 2.2 out of 5 stars Meriden, CT 06450 Accel International has grown to be the best high-performance conductor manufacturer for the aerospace, medical, telecommunications, and other industries. We currently operate two state-of-the-art facilities in Connecticut, one in Indiana, and a new one is being built in Florida, which will be up and running in 2023. We are looking for hard-working and ambitious individuals with experience in machine maintenance in the manufacturing field to fill our Machine Maintenance Technician positions. These individuals will be responsible for: Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facility Maintaining a clean and orderly facility Using a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties Detecting faulty operations and defective material and reporting any unusual situations to proper supervision Performing other required tasks as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Must wear safety shoes (steel toe), safety eyeglasses, safety ear protections Must participate in company ear testing surveillance Must be able to work with sharp tooling such as scissors, cutters, knives, and other materials required to handle wire Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching At Accel, we offer competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the potential for growth. Shifts:
1st (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) Off shift schedules available (Tuesday-Saturday, Wednesday-Sunday) What we are looking for: Familiar with manufacturing, safety practices, and procedures (all backgrounds are welcome, electronic background is preferred) Experience with machine operating and machine maintenance Experience with detailed work/working with small parts Great attention to detail Positive attitude Excellent attendance record in previous positions Longevity in previous positions with no gaps or “job hopping” Willing to work overtime and weekends Must pass a drug screen and background check At least High School Diploma or GED Required Basic math and computer knowledge In return, we are happy to offer: Very Competitive Base Pay (DOE) Generous Bonus Potential Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits Free Disability and Life Insurance AFLAC line of coverage 401(K) Plan with company match PTO Holiday pay Rewarding and Fun Work Environment in a clean, bright and state of the art manufacturing facility
