Pool Maintenance Technician Merit Pools 1566 East Main Street, Torrington, CT 06790 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pool Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of residential and commercial swimming pools. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in various environments. The Pool Technician will ensure that pools are safe, clean, and functioning optimally for our clients. Responsibilities Perform regular maintenance on swimming pools, including cleaning, chemical balancing, and equipment checks. Utilize power tools and hand tools for pool repairs and maintenance tasks. Diagnose issues with pool equipment and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Maintain accurate records of service performed on each pool. Communicate effectively with clients regarding the status of their pools and any recommended services. Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing all tasks. Provide exceptional customer service to build lasting relationships with clients. Skills Proficient in pool maintenance techniques and best practices. Experience with power tools and hand tools relevant to pool repair and maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair various pool equipment. Previous experience as a service technician is preferred but not required. Ability to maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work. $18.00 – $27.57 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
