Role:

We’re seeking a hands-on Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (Grade 1-2) to support the upkeep and repair of our production equipment and facility systems. This role is ideal for someone with foundational maintenance experience looking to grow their skill set in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical and electrical issues.
Assist in the installation and alignment of motors, bearings, belts, and pulleys.
Replace worn parts and adjust machinery for optimal performance.
Complete basic wiring tasks and replace lighting fixtures or electrical components.
Support 5S, safety practices, and continuous improvement efforts across the plant.
Accurately document maintenance activities and communicate updates to supervisors.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, hand and power tools, and electrical safety.
Able to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
Comfortable working on ladders, around machinery, and in a production environment.
Familiar with or willing to learn about 5S, Kaizen, and Lean practices.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to work a full-time 2nd shift schedule, including overtime or weekend coverage as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work in varied environmental conditions. Preferred (Not Required): Previous experience in the manufacturing industry.
Exposure to electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs) or basic PLC troubleshooting a plus.

Physical and Environmental Requirements Lifting:

Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Environment:

Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.

Physical Activities:

Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.

PPE:

Wear the required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.

Dexterity and Vision:

Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).

Stamina:

Stand for long shifts.

Skills:

Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.

Safety:

Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
