$20/hour | Bi-Weekly Direct Deposit Banana River Resort, a boutique waterfront retreat just steps from the beach in Cocoa Beach, FL, is seeking a reliable and skilled Property Maintenance Person to join our friendly and hardworking team. This is a flexible, part-time position ideal for someone LOCAL to the Cocoa Beach area with handyman experience and a proactive positive attitude! Scheduled maintenance hours are typically on Mondays , with on-call availability during the week for occasional guest-related maintenance issues.

Note:

While weekly maintenance duties generally fall on Mondays, the schedule may occasionally shift depending on guest check-outs and reservation flow. Flexibility is appreciated! Weekly Duties ( Typically on Mondays ): Walk the property and inspect for any maintenance or safety concerns Check and replace batteries in thermostats, TV remotes, and smart locks Inspect all lighting throughout the property and replace any needed bulbs Perform repairs and upkeep on patio string lighting (replace fuses, bulbs, and ensure proper function) Clean out, maintenance, organize, and properly store all water sport equipment, including kayaks and paddleboards as well as keep the BRR boathouse neat, clean, and well-organized for guests. Inspect decking and dock areas for raised or damaged boards and make necessary repairs Maintain the fire pit (clean debris, check fuel, handle minor repairs) Maintain the grill area (clean grill and exterior, empty grease trap, check/replace fuel, light repairs) Tidy and maintain the trash and recycling area. Take large items to dump as needed. Reset the property after guest check-outs — re-stage patio furniture back in its designated spots, tidy shared areas, and prepare for new weekly guest arrivals Complete tasks from the weekly “To Do” list based on issues noted throughout the week Monthly Duties (As Needed): Clean exterior windows all around property Perform basic A/C maintenance such as replacing filters and light servicing Test and maintain fire alarms to ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards Pressure wash patios, walkways, and exterior surfaces as needed

Additional On-Call Availability:

You’ll be our go-to person when small maintenance issues pop up during guest stays — such as a jammed lock, leaky faucet, or grill issue. Your ability to respond quickly and troubleshoot calmly will help keep our guest experience smooth and stress-free.

Requirements:

Must live locally in the Cocoa Beach/PFB area Prior experience in property maintenance, general repairs, or handyman work Must have reliable transportation to travel to the resort or pick up supplies Must pass a background check Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to keep records of hours worked and purchases made Use of a company card for approved purchases (receipts and descriptions must be submitted to the property manager upon purchase) Submit detailed time logs bi-weekly
