This includes inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure smooth operations and workplace safety.
Description Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and mechanical systems. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime. Replace worn or faulty components such as belts, motors, bearings, etc. Facility Maintenance Conduct general building maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, painting, and carpentry. Repair or replace fixtures, doors, flooring, and other structural elements. Monitor HVAC, boiler, and refrigeration systems for proper operation. Electrical & Plumbing Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues such as wiring, outlets, and switches. Repair or replace plumbing fixtures like faucets, toilets, and piping. Documentation & Compliance Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs. Follow safety procedures and regulatory guidelines (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Participate in audits and inspections. Emergency Response Respond to urgent repair calls and system breakdowns. Be available for on-call rotation or shift work as needed. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with operations, engineering, and other departments. Communicate effectively about equipment status, repair timelines, and safety concerns.
Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical diploma preferred). 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills for logging work orders and using maintenance software (CMMS).
