Job Description:
Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Island is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support the safety and functionality of our facility. This is a vital role responsible for the upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment to ensure a comfortable, safe environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply mechanical and technical skills to plant operations, repairs, and maintenance tasks Maintain all essential facility equipment in safe, operational condition Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal maintenance regulations Follow emergency and disaster procedures; assist with evacuations if needed Uphold confidentiality and resident dignity at all times Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and outside agencies Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and adhere to facility policies Support infection control and workplace safety standards
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in a skilled trade preferred
Licensure/Certification:
Valid license or certification in
Plumbing, Carpentry, or Electricity Experience:
At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a healthcare or institutional setting
