Summary The Night Security personnel are responsible for the security of the hotel, its guests, and employees. He also maintains and repairs buildings’ physical structures and grounds by performing the following duties. Protects property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents.

Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards, and other security-related situations.

Assists customers, employees, and visitors following the department’s procedures.

Handling all in-house repairs regarding removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard, vinyl, carpentry, etc.

Performs routine maintenance on the building’s interior and exterior.

Works safely and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure the safety of themselves and others in the building. Competencies Collaboration Skills. Customer/Client Focus. Flexibility. Stress Management/Composure. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in public and non-public areas of the property, including guest rooms. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to various extreme conditions while performing their duties. The noise level in the work environment and work areas can be loud. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and pull items weighing over 50 pounds. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and following written and oral instructions and procedures. Position Type This is a full-time position, Non-Exempt. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED. Preferred Education and Experience Experience doing maintenance work in a similar type of environment. Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position.
