Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach, a DoubleTree by Hilton is looking for their next General Mechanic to join their team! We’re next to the Fort Lauderdale beach, half a mile south of East Las Olas Boulevard. It’s a fourmile drive to the cruise terminals at Port Everglades. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding in the following areas: Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Painting, and Sheetrock repair, has a passion for hospitality and have full availability to work the everchanging schedule of hospitality.

Shift Pattern:

AM, MID and PM shifts, as early as 8AM and ending as late as 11.30PM.

Pay Rate:

$22.00 per hour

As an Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heartofthehouse areas
Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair nonfunctioning machinery and/or equipment
Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry
Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs
Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
