The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, enabling them to perform various maintenance and repair tasks effectively. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and operational, providing a safe and pleasant environment for all. Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment. Perform minor electrical repairs and installations, including the use of an ohmmeter for testing electrical circuits. Handle plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing fixtures. Assist with carpentry projects including furniture assembly, drywall repair, and other woodwork as needed. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management. Maintain an organized inventory of tools and supplies necessary for repairs. Document completed work orders and report any issues that require further attention. Qualifications Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance practices. Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management. A valid driver’s license may be required depending on job location needs.
