Maintenance Technician (2nd -3rd shift) 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Miramar, FL 33027 Seeking a Packing Mechanic to work under general supervision, operates and performs routine troubleshooting, and repair of all packaging equipment and systems, and conducts packaging line changeovers and mechanical set-up of all packaging equipment in accordance with the packaging schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures and state, federal and local laws.
- Performs routine troubleshooting and repairs of packaging and processing equipment, and mechanical control systems.
- Performs packaging line set-ups and changeovers.
- Monitors Packaging Line during production in order to maintain optimum efficiency by proactively addressing issues a keeping line within operating parameters
- Reports all major and unresolved downtime issues to the packaging section leader.
- Complies with all company equipment, safety, OSHA rules and regulations.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains maintenance work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Supports department goals for output and efficiencies.
- Supports Engineering Technicians in performing Preventive Maintenance in production equipment as needed.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes.

- Education o High school diploma or equivalent, and prefer hands-on or vocational school training
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities o Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements.
o Production equipment operations and maintenance practices. o Standard Operating Procedures for equipment operations including safety rules and regulations. o Basic electrical and pneumatic control systems. o Mechanical aptitude and basic mathematics. o Troubleshooting of packaging equipment problems associated with die cutting/punching of transdermal patches, web alignment, pick & place, cartoning and other packaging and labeling equipment components. o Complying with all Company policies and procedures. o Complying with all Company safety rules and regulations, recognizing hazards and taking appropriate corrective action. o Analyzing and troubleshooting of problems with packaging equipment. o Maintaining a clean and orderly work area. o Understanding and following written and oral instructions. o Reading, writing, and speaking English. o Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. o Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with individuals contacted during work.
- Experience o 1-3 years of experience as a set-up mechanic in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
