Jacksonville, Florida- 32220 Job Description The container repair technician will be responsible for cleaning and restoring container units. The technician will undertake tasks such as washing and drying containers using a pressure washer or hose attachment, removing mold with bleach, sweeping, replacing floorboards, changing roofs, panels, and doors, and replacing 2×4’s that the container sits on. Additional duties include caulking, sanding, painting, applying stickers, changing latches on roll-up doors, re-threading, and drilling out bolts. Occasionally, the use of a grinder and standing on ladders for bolt and roof repairs is required. Responsibilities Wash and dry containers using a pressure washer or hose attachment. Remove mold using bleach with provided respirators if necessary. Sweep and replace floorboards. Change roofs, panels, and doors. Replace 2×4’s that containers sit on. Perform caulking, sanding, and painting using brushes, rollers, and spray cans. Apply stickers and change latches on roll-up doors. Re-thread and drill out bolts. Use a grinder occasionally. Stand on ladders for bolt and roof repairs. Essential Skills Experience with hand and power tools (1+ years). Hands-on experience in environments such as construction, painting, assembly, cleaning, or trailer mechanics (1+ years). Mechanically inclined. Customer service experience. Experience in construction, mechanical assembly, trailer repair, and pressure washing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Pressure washing experience is a plus. Painting experience. Forklift operation is beneficial for future opportunities. Comfortable speaking with customers on-site. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $17.00/hr.
