THIS IS AN IN CLINIC

(ONSITE)

POSITION.

The Ophthalmic Diagnostic Medical Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic testing on patients such as fundus photography, OCTs, color vision testing, pachymetry, visual fields. This position may also be responsible for assisting Ophthalmologists and Optometrists by performing ophthalmic clinical functions as necessary including patient work ups and administering eye medications.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Responsible for opening and closing diagnostic area, maintaining equipment and rooms in working conditions. Performing test based on a physician’s orders.

Perform visual field testing:

Humphrey Perform OCT testing

Fundus Photography External Photography Corneal Topography:

Atlas and Pentacam Timely, accurately and efficient transferring test results into electronic medical records. Update patient records using high level of proficiency within the EMS or other related system. Comply with all HIPPA regulations in all interactions with patient information Other related duties as assigned

Travel:

Travel to other locations may be required to support business needs. This position is located on the first floor of our Brandon facility.

Qualifications:

Minimum one year in Optical or Ophthalmology practice required.
