The area of considerion is current, permanent employees of the James A Haley Veterans Hospital, Department of Veterans Affairs, Federal employees and Veterans who are eligible under the Veterans Employment Opportunity Act. First area of considerion is current, permanent facility employees. Duties Duties include, but are not limited to: Measuring, cutting and constructing using standard building merials. Independently pan and complete projects th involve constructing, altering, repairing and/or modifying framework, rafters, doors, finished paneling, windows, rough furniture, interior/exterior trim, staircases, trusses and beams. Opere and use a wide variety of specialty woodworking machines and tools. Perform work to close tolerances, exact fit and structural soundness. Plan, measure and lay out carpentry merials using broad knowledge of wood merials and substitutes with general and precision woodworking techniques. Repair plumbing systems. Installing, modifying and repairing new and existing utility, supply and disposal systems. Steam system troubleshooting and repair including backflow prevention valves, steam control valves, radiors and coils.

Working Conditions:
Exposed to a full array of weher conditions. Subject to danger of falling when working from ladders or hydraulic lifts. Exposed to dust/dirt while mixing mortar and handling merials.
