We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at our concrete production facility. This role is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on a variety of equipment, including conveyors, mixers, and hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, an understanding of industrial tools, and a proactive approach to minimizing downtime. This is a key position that ensures our equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

salary:

$56,160 – $58,240 per year
shift: First
work hours: 3 AM – 5 PM
education: High School Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, including conveyors, and silos. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems, motors, pumps, and related mechanical components. Maintain and repair conveyor belts, rollers, gearboxes, and related equipment to ensure smooth material flow. Use a variety of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments to perform repairs and adjustments. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts usage. Assist with installation and setup of new equipment and machinery as needed. Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE usage. Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritize maintenance needs and support continuous improvement. Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and parts. The essential functions of this role include:
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 50lbs
standing for 12 hours at one time
working up to 20 hrs of overtime per week
