Job Description

Maintenance Technician 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Tampa, FL 33610 Masis Professional Group is assisting a manufacturing client in Tampa in their search for a Direct Hire, Maintenance Technician. This is a 1st shift position.

Shift:

7:00am-3:00pm (paid lunch). Candidates must be able to work 12 hour days when needed. Duties and Responsibilities of the

Maintenance Technician:
  • The Maintenance Technician will perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, welding, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • Start each shift by performing a walk-through of the entire plant to check on equipment and check in with operators regarding any problems they might have.
  • Communicate parts inventory to manager as it is depleted.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry functions.
  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times and notify management of violations of these policies.
  • PLC experience preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED is required.
  • Experience using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and servicing material handling equipment.
  • Experience and skill in mechanical, basic electrical (low voltage to 480 VAC, single and 3 phase), welding, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, carpentry, and machining of parts work.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and have excellent follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivational personality with exceptional attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to perform job duties with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds, work on your feet for long periods of time, climb and work in towers, and work in an environment that is sometimes hot in the summer.
