Maintenance Technician Job Description This position is responsible for safely providing maintenance support to our fast-paced Tampa, FL Container plant that is equipped with technology ranging from simple to state-of-the-art for the corrugated industry. Utilize both excellent mechanical skills and knowledge (pneumatic, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication) and electrical/electronic skills and knowledge (PLCs, A/C, D/C motors and drives, schematics) in a continuous process manufacturing environment to achieve machine efficiency. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and production machinery. Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs. Set up machines for production runs and install new equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance on motors, conveyors, and electrical/hydraulic/automated systems. Essential Skills 5+ years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience. Strong mechanical and electrical skills. Experience with PLCs, electronics, hydraulics, robotics, and pneumatics. Ability to weld. Proficiency in troubleshooting and working with 480V systems. Why Work Here? Employees receive a one-time bonus of $2,000 after one year, broken down as follows: $1,000 thirty days after going permanent, $500 after six months, and $500 after one year. Additionally, employees who remain employed through the second year receive a lump sum of $0.20 for each hour worked in the prior 12 months. Work Environment Industrial manufacturing setting with a partially climate-controlled environment and fans in the facility. The position follows a 3-2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts. Training is conducted on the first shift for up to a year, after which employees may move to the first or third shift based on business needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.05 – $27.05/hr.
