POSITION SUMMARY
The Facility Maintenance Team Member will assist the Facility Maintenance Manager and grounds staff with the daily upkeep of the facility’s buildings and grounds. This position will generally involve the performance of manual tasks requiring skilled or special knowledge acquired through on-the-job training or experience. The Facility Maintenance Team Member will provide assistance to team members in the completion of various tasks and day-to-day maintenance duties as required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Maintain facility by operating necessary grounds care equipment including heavy machinery Mows, trims, edges, fertilizes, sods, aerates, and irrigates common grounds area of the complex using many different pieces of grounds maintenance equipment Perform weed and insect control in all common ground areas Assists with the layout and painting of multipurpose fields as needed Operates, maintains, and performs minor repair for irrigation system Maintain equipment inventory, maintenance logs, ongoing maintenance and keep machinery operational Perform janitorial and general maintenance duties in all buildings Meets with the Operations Manager and/or other supervisors to discuss and plan identified maintenance tasks and cultural practices Performs and enforces necessary safety training and procedures Maintains knowledge of complex events and activities while interacting with guests of the park in a positive way All additional duties assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Understand and follow both oral and written instructions Work independently with minimal supervision Effective time management skills Prior experience using maintenance equipment and procedures 1 to 2 years’ experience with sports facilities operations/landscaping Candidate must be available and willing to work long hours and varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays Possess or ability to obtain a valid Driver’s License
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Will be required to lift 50 pounds Will be required to work in all weather conditions Will be required to paint, clean equipment, and safely handle chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms Will be required to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust Will be required to perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve but are not limited to the following activities: semi reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; working in narrow and/or confining spaces: underground, overhead, and at ground level; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back
