The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and mechanical systems, demonstrating proficiency in electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and facilities, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively. Conduct electrical repairs, including the use of an ohmmeter for testing circuits and components. Work with logic controllers to maintain automated systems, ensuring seamless operations. Fabricate parts as needed to support maintenance activities and enhance equipment functionality. Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot effectively. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Lead small teams during maintenance projects, providing guidance and support as necessary. Skills Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and procedures. Proficient in mechanical systems with a solid understanding of electrical components. Experience using an ohmmeter for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in automated environments. Leadership skills with the ability to manage projects and mentor junior staff. Capable of fabricating parts or components as required for repairs or enhancements. Ability to read schematics accurately for effective troubleshooting. Experience with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities is preferred.
