Maintenance Technician Tallahassee State College Tallahassee, FL Join Our Team at Tallahassee State College Maintenance Technician Tallahassee State College (TSC), an “A” school district recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025 , is excited to announce a full-time opening for the position of Maintenance Technician – P03088 with the Facilities & Maintenance. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community. What You’ll Do As Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe and efficient environment at the Institute. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for: Assists in performing preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment. Performs any carpentry/masonry related duty to make any necessary repairs or modifications as needed. Performs maintenance and repair to plumbing fixtures including piping, urinals, toilets, sinks, valves, and faucets. Assists in repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical systems. Assists Maintenance Tech II in operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and components including building automation systems. Operates, maintains, and repairs vehicles including tractors, forklifts, frontend loaders, large trucks, and motorized carts. Maintains and repairs all small equipment used in the maintenance area. Operates computer and assists Maintenance Tech II with inputting data for preventive maintenance program. Supervises temporary help, and provides other related duties as assigned. A standard high school or equivalency diploma. Three years of experience in one of the following areas: residential or commercial building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC.
