Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Processing Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in maintaining and repairing critical seafood processing equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical and electrical experience, a safety-first mindset, and a strong desire to ensure production runs efficiently and without disruption. This position plays a key role in preventative maintenance and the overall success of the facility’s operations. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain processing equipment including Baader 142 gutting machine, fillet machines, conveyors, fish tippers, and Optimar systems. Perform daily inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant processing/packaging equipment (electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics). Assign daily tasks to line workers and communicate production needs effectively. Maintain safe, clean, and organized workspaces, following all PPE, food safety, and OSHA standards. Support start-up/shut-down operations and process changes in coordination with Supervisors and QA teams. Handle assembly and sharpening/reshaping of tools and machine parts. Maintain and organize spare parts inventory and document technical failures. Implement preventive and comprehensive maintenance systems and conduct risk assessments. Be willing to travel for training as needed. Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in seafood or similar food processing maintenance roles. Mechanical aptitude with electrical troubleshooting experience. Familiarity with hourly yield testing in fillet operations. Strong team player with excellent communication skills. Must be safety-conscious and detail-oriented. English proficiency required; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must be able to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative. Preferred Attributes Experience with Optimar systems or comparable automated processing equipment. Working knowledge of HACCP, OSHA, and other safety/quality standards. Strong organizational skills for managing maintenance schedules and spare part inventories. Pay Range :
