Our work focuses on adoption services, education about responsible pet ownership, and working to reduce animal overpopulation and homeless pets. This is a full-time role four/five days to include weekends and reports directly to the Adoption Center and Shelter Director. Position Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with the completion of work orders generated by employees.
• Ensure the standards of cleanliness and overall appearance of the amenities, building exteriors, parking lots, landscape and other buildings and common areas reflect and represent the high quality of the company.
• Perform routine maintenance inspections of HVAC systems, water heaters, washing machines, plumbing, vehicles and electrical.
• Must have experience with plumbing, electrical, and landscaping work. We need a pro-handyman!
• Regularly inspect shelter kennels, dog park and adoption center to spot issues.
• Provide upkeep and maintain a safe working environment by performing general repairs of doors, walls, fixtures, etc.
• Identify areas for improvement and offer suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Inform your supervisor on all work that requires outside contractors.
• Always maintain safety policies and procedures.
• Must be capable of working independently and efficiently.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Respond to maintenance issues, including emergency issues after hours, in a timely manner, keeping Slack updated with progress.
• Comparable work experience required. Core Skills & Qualifications
• Ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Can follow instructions and a team player.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift to 75 lbs. and work in hot and cold temperatures and all safe weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license
