The Facilities Technician is responsible for the care and maintenance of Lift Orlando’s properties. This position involves performing daily maintenance tasks, addressing facility issues, and supporting events to maintain a safe, functional, and presentable environment for all stakeholders. The Facilities Technician is also expected to provide excellent customer service in all interactions, fostering a positive and professional environment.

Essential Job Requirements:

Perform daily maintenance, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, and sanitizing common areas and event spaces. Conduct bathroom maintenance by emptying trash cans, refilling supplies, and ensuring cleanliness. Perform heavy cleaning tasks, such as wall and window washing and carpet cleaning. Change HVAC filters, light fixtures, and electrical components; replace faucets, receptacles, and defective locks. Paint walls, repair holes, and restore fixtures, including doors, casings, moldings, locks, and latches. Repair broken windows, install window shades and locks, unclog drains, and perform minor plumbing repairs such as replacing sinks or toilets. Remove debris from the property grounds as needed. Facilitate the setup and tear-down of events hosted at the facility. Conduct regular property inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks. Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, materials, and consumables, submitting supply requests as needed. Completing updated quarterly inventories and submitting written reports as directed. Act as the onsite contact for vendors performing maintenance or repairs. Complete and submit timely inventories and written reports as directed. Respond to after-hours and emergencies as necessary, including holidays and weekends. High school diploma or GED required. Trade certification or vocational training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in property maintenance, janitorial services, or building trades. Skills and Abilities Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Strong organizational and multitasking skills to address multiple facility needs efficiently. Positive attitude, openness to direction, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and functional environment.

Demonstrated Knowledge:

Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and the ability to perform general repairs. Competence in using tools and equipment related to facility maintenance.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods. Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Perform physical activities, including bending, crouching, climbing ladders, and working in tight or elevated spaces. Occasionally work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain.

Requirements:

Authorization to work in the United States. Must have reliable transportation to commute to the office as needed.
