Job Description As a Carpet and Floor Technician at Westgate Resorts, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of our rooms and public areas. You will be responsible for cleaning carpets, upholstery, floors, and room accessories to remove the effects of smoke and water damage, such as dirt, soot, stains, mildew, and excess moisture. Your duties will also include waxing and stripping floors as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Floor Maintenance:
Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep resort floors, including lobbies, hallways, and public areas, in impeccable condition. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing as necessary.
Carpet and Floor Cleaning:
Utilize commercial carpet, upholstery, and interior cleaning machines, tools, and supplies to clean carpets, upholstery, floors, and room accessories.
Safety:
Set up proper safety signs before performing floor cleaning activities to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
Moisture Control:
Place fans and dehumidifiers strategically in rooms to remove moisture from carpets, upholstery, and the air. Verify moisture levels with moisture sensors.
Treatment:
Spray or fog carpets, upholstery, and accessories with fabric conditioners, protectors, deodorizers, and disinfectants to ensure a fresh and inviting atmosphere.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect completed restoration work to ensure it conforms to our quality and cleanliness standards.
Training:
Assist in training fellow employees in the department to uphold the highest cleaning and safety standards.
Guest Interaction:
Provide courteous and helpful assistance to guests when needed, ensuring their questions and concerns are addressed promptly
Other Duties:
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management. Qualifications Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
