Pay Rates is $21.00 hr -Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7: 00
AM Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. These tasks are completed following Zellwin Farms Company (ZFC) policies and procedures including, Safe Quality Foods (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, pulleys, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Assembles, installs, tests and maintains basic electrical equipment and fixtures. Troubleshoots and repairs basic electrical issues. Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Plans and participates in equipment installations including conveyors, pumps, motors, equipment machine, seal bars, gearboxes, cylinders, chains, belts, carriers etc. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments and reports issues and any unusual situations to Maintenance Manager. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Support assembly line in general with rearrangements, troubleshooting issues and repairs as required.. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Plan and participate in project work including continuous improvement activities. High School/GED Safety Training, including LOTO, Machine Guarding, Confine Spaces, etc. GMP Training GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) & SSOP (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures) Prefer minimum two year technical degree; OR, Two years of electrical experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
