POSITION OVERVIEW

The Pool Repair Technician role is responsible for the general repair and upkeep of residential swimming pools. Pool Repair Technicians are assigned a route each week and are expected to provide premium service to each property. Each stop may vary depending on the repairs needed. This role requires strong technical expertise in pool repairs, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to drive sales and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Repair and replace pool filters, pumps, motors, salt systems, heaters, and cleaners. Inspect, diagnose, and repair all types and manufacturers of pool equipment, including automation systems (Jandy/Fluidra, Pentair, Hayward). Perform troubleshooting for pool equipment and propose effective solutions. Install new equipment and complete warranty repairs. Perform complex electrical and plumbing work for pool systems. Conduct pool maintenance and ensure proper chemical balance. Upsell and provide quotes to customers for additional repairs and services. Complete service schedules in an efficient and time-conscious manner, with minimal callbacks. Maintain all tools and equipment to ensure proper working order. Report issues or repair needs immediately to maintain compliance requirements. Provide professional, knowledgeable, and friendly communication with clients. Mentor and assist junior technicians as needed. Lead process improvements focused on efficiency and profitability. Adhere to and adapt to all current and new company policies, procedures, and initiatives. Proper use of Salesforce for invoicing, scheduling, and client follow-ups.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of pool repair experience, including pumps, heaters, and automation systems. 5+ years of sales experience (upselling, quoting, and closing deals). 5+ years of pool maintenance experience (strong understanding of pool chemistry and equipment). 2+ years of management experience (supervising technicians, workflow management). Bilingual

  • Spanish required. Ability to lift 50 lbs.+ occasionally, repetitive bending, squatting, twisting, and standing. Ability to swim. Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Ability to pass MVR and background check. Ability to work in extreme heat or cold for extended periods of time. Familiarity with pool renovations and structural repairs
  • preferred. Experience with routing and optimizing schedules

  • preferred. First Aid Certification
  • preferred. Scuba Certification
  • a plus. Proficiency with Google Workspace

This position requires a balance of hands-on repair work, team leadership, and business acumen to support both the technical and financial performance of the department.
