Facilities Director:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Accepts and completes all assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, A/C, carpentry & sheetrock HVAC Certification preferred Ability to multitask and prioritize work Must be a team player with the ability to work independently as well Maintains professional and respectful relations with internal and external customers, i.e. fellow employees and Residents Performs daily building preventive maintenance and daily building rounds and reports all deficiencies found. Ensures workshop and work area is orderly, clean and secured Adheres to all policies concerning reporting for work, breaks, and general policies as outlined in the employee manual.

Physical Demands of Position:

Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet) Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift Bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, computer and other administrative tasks Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with owners, co-workers, vendors, etc. view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments

Qualifications/Requirements:

At least 18 years of age Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check and a pre-employment drug test Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality standard Ability to handle both common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently Read, understand and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with residents, guests, vendors, etc. giving and receiving instructions, using phones/two-way radio’s.
