Job description Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the General Maintenance Worker will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our facilities, equipment, and vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, along with a diverse range of handyman skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance tasks such as facility repairs, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and other repairs as assigned.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments and address issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts usage, repairs performed, and equipment inspections.
• Assist with the installation and modification of vehicle components and accessories as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment for oneself and others.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating company vehicles and equipment is required.
• Experience in general maintenance and repair work, with a strong emphasis on mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for various maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment and systems.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
