In this role, the Installer is responsible for servicing, repairing, and installation of residential/commercial garage doors and completing tasks related to the installation of various types of garage door components. Installer will travel to various service calls through the day and interact with customers on a regular basis. This role installs the equipment, remove old equipment, and test connections to make sure they’re working properly. Essential Job Functions Service/Repair/Install of garage doors. Ensure customer satisfaction with the delivery process. Assemble mechanical components or machine parts. Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools. Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning. Test mechanical equipment to ensure its functioning properly and document. Loading and unloading material Trouble shoot and do minor repair garage door openers. Carry springs to tops of doors using ladders and attach springs to tracks to install spring systems. Adhere to company’s safety rules and standards while using tools and ladders. Perform installation of new parts. Perform a complete inspection of the service vehicle prior to each daily use. Safe operation of a motor vehicle. Load vehicle with the proper inventory. Contacting the office upon arrival and departure from each appointment Collect payment from customers and obtain homeowner’s signature. Adhere to installation process and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Education, Experience, Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license Ability to lift or move heavy products. Ability to operate powered equipment. Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
