CNC Full Job Description Maintenance Technician:
Astaras Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Employee for our facility in Clearwater, FL. The role is critical in maintaining our operations of the plant and looking for candidates who have 2-3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, including the CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, Sintering Furnace, CIP Press, Band Saw, Metals Laboratory & Inspection equipment, as well as building support and infraturcutre. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for making sure the entire plant is consistently in production readiness Leading in the installation of new equipment Timely repair of equipment to minimize downtime Implementing an effective preventive maintenance program (QMS) Supports an active EHS program
- providing organizational training and documentation as required to local regulatory bodies Safety of self and others at all times Secondary Responsibilities Identifies any new equipment and/or operating supplies needed Maintains orderly tool storage; applies “visual factory” principles Vigilant for developing trends, pursuit of risk reduction (QMS) Manages utilities, specifically including process gases Power management•tracks electrical peak and average demand Maintains an up-to-date spare inventory for critical components, especially those having long lead times Periodic coolant changeout and lubrication of machining centers Environmental compliance of the facility Any other task assigned by Management Educational & Work Requirements/Experience Minimum of 3 years of work in plant maintenance Associate degree or equivalent Required Skills Ability and willingness to perform manual labor Basic math and computer skills Ability to accurately interpret written instructions and graphics Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving ability Must meet ITAR requirements Behavioral Dimensions Desire for continual improvement and personal advancement Good work ethic and a history of good job attendance Effective in both teamwork and working self-directed as needed Compliance with all company policies Displays attention to detail•excellent observational skills Thinks ahead before performing an action
