Corporate Real Estate and Facilities ensures that our owned and leased offices are inviting and engaging to our clients and over nine thousand Franklin Templeton (FT) employees across the globe. We build strong internal and external relationships essential to supporting the success of our operations. What is the Maintenance Technician responsible for? As a Maintenance Technician, you will be an integral part of a small and dynamic team focused on maintaining a site that includes 5 buildings. Your role will involve ensuring the buildings and employees are well taken care of. What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician? Looking for a candidate with a strong emphasis on electrical work but who can also perform other maintenance responsibilities as-needed. Troubleshoot, diagnose, install, and repair electrical components in a commercial environment in accordance with local and national codes. Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment. Perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and automated building systems. Day-to-day work for the Maintenance Technician revolves around scheduled preventative maintenance, promptly addressing customer needs submitted via work order, and efficiently handling corrective actions to repair equipment. Through effective vendor management, the Maintenance Technician actively partners with and oversees vendors responsible for providing services to the building to ensure a timely and high-quality service delivery. What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful? 3-5 years of relevant facilities and maintenance experience Can-do, customer service attitude and ability to partner/interface well with others at all levels General knowledge of electric and plumbing systems, and safety controls such as fire and security systems preferred, but not required Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results.
