Job Description
Sterile Processing Technician Certified System SRO Pool – 91340 Dunedin | Clinical | Pool Description BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking certified Sterile Processing Techs to join our outstanding and compassionate float team. BayCare offers a variety of assignment options including: System Pool- 13-week full time assignment for assigned department-assignment availability is based on the needs of the health system. Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts. Occasional weekends for some facilities.
Hospital Locations/Shift times varies based on needs of system. Current assignment Mease Dunedin Hospital 12pm-830pm. The Sterile Processing Technician – Certified is responsible for the decontamination, prepping, packaging and sterilization of all instrumentation processed through the department following established department procedures. Required specific skills also includes knowledge of decontamination processes, preparation, and packaging, sterilization techniques based on manufacturer recommendations, and storage of sterilized items, as well as
Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up and interpreting policies, procedures, and protocols and reviewing performance in compliance with recognized standards.
As a BayCare SRO Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you will be required to float throughout the BayCare Health System as the needs dictate.
Required Experience is 1 year in sterile processing. Certification required. Why BayCare?
