Position Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for helping to maintain the physical, mechanical, and natural conditions in the park. This position will assist with the preventative maintenance and repair of BSP facilities, park elements, equipment and vehicles. Working in conjunction with the Director of Maintenance will complete daily check lists prior to the operation of park including, but not limited to, buildings, play elements, park equipment, and/or vehicles. This position will ensure the park’s quality standards, both front and back of house, are maintained to a high benchmark level of quality. Schedule Sunday – Thursday 8am to 4:30pm. Drop days Friday and Saturday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To support park-wide Safety Program and Safety Culture as it pertains to equipment and safe work practices Adheres to preventative maintenance schedule for equipment, performs repairs or escalates as necessary, reports necessary changes Maintain a “can-do” attitude and creatively solve problems in a financially efficient manner Effectively maintain park’s equipment green-tagging and red-tagging certification and tracking procedures Ensure safety guidelines and documentation are followed including but not limited to: Lock Out/Tag Out, PPE, Electrical Safety, Confined Space, etc. Ensure mandatory OSHA training guidelines and documentation are followed Proactively communicate needs for parts inventory and par levels of long lead time items Must demonstrate competent knowledge in managing electrical, HVAC and plumbing needs Complete all necessary logs of repairs and corrective actions Competent in use of basic hand tools and power tools Work with third-party service contractors including horticulture, HVAC service, elevator, etc. Conduct all business in a moral and ethical manner leaving no room to question the integrity of the park or its staff Works professionally with park management, team members and park guests Other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications and Skills Must be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demands, including nights, weekends and Holidays as needed High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year experience in general maintenance, HVAC, plumbing or electrical system maintenance Flexibility regarding scheduling based on business demands Desired Qualifications and Traits Expert at hands-on equipment maintenance Ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimal direction Competent knowledge in repair and maintenance of: Electrical up to 240vac HVAC Plumbing Gas & Electrical powered equipment Proven teamwork skills
