- 2:30pm Overview The Maintenance Technician position will require electrical trouble shooting skills as well as an experienced mechanical aptitude.
We are seeking qualified candidates with five years’ experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with an emphasis on electrical installation, PLC knowledge, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities This position will be responsible for but is not limited to machine installation, control wiring installations and troubleshooting to the component level, PLC understanding and troubleshooting skills (not programming), anchoring equipment, running conduit, pulling wire, termination of conductors, maintenance and rebuilding of equipment, conveyor systems, robotics, and other routine maintenance duties. Qualifications Education/Experience High school diploma required 5 years’ experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with an emphasis on electrical installation and experience with preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting in the following areas; conveyors, robotics, over wrappers, palletizers, shrink wrappers, casers, air compressors, and boilers required Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated conveyor equipment preferred Certifications in basic electrical, mechanical, motor control relay logic, and schematic reading preferred Experience operating boom and scissor lifts required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be able to use basic electrical test instruments to include VOM multi-meter, clamp on ampere meter, and other basic test instruments Ability to troubleshoot sensors, photo eyes as well as how they relate to the PLC operation Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic cylinders and MAC valves Ability to maintain and operate boilers and steam tunnels Saddle Creek is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
