Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman/Maintenance Technician to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems.
- Perform plumbing, electrical, painting, assembly, installation and carpentry work as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain inventory of tools and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of facilities for events and activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed.

Requirements:
Join our wonderful maintenance team tasked with ensuring the health and safety of infants, toddlers and preschoolers at locations throughout Sarasota County. The team is responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and beautification of multiple facilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience as a handyman and/or building maintenance technician.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Ability to paint, assemble, and install cabinets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
- Pass a level two background screening, drug screening, and safe driving record screening.
