Facilities Technician Position Available In Seminole, Florida

POSITION:

Full-Time Facilities Technician[]{#docs-internal-guid-13bf4556-7fff-b4fc-de84-5340c11e8ed1}Lake Mary Preparatory School was founded in 1999 and continues to be one of the top co-educational, private, international prep schools in Seminole County serving students in grades PreK 3 through 12. We are seeking an efficient and reliable individual who will undertake the responsibility of preserving the conditions and functionality of our campus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• General maintenance of our campus and athletic fields to include mowing and edging by operating power riding lawnmowers and edgers
• Perform general grounds clean-up including picking up paper and trash, blowing walkway areas
• Painting of athletic fields
• Prune and plant trees, shrubs, flowers
• Spray for control of insects, weeds, and plant diseases. Apply fertilizer as needed
• Monthly cleaning of the outside of the building using high-powered pressure washer
• Inspect, service, and install enhancements to existing sprinkler irrigation systems. Set and operate irrigation timers
• Ensure facilities are well-maintained
• Assist in set up and break down of events on campus that require additional help
• Transport equipment as required using trucks and trailers sufficient to complete assigned task
• Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Previous maintenance/groundskeeper experience strongly preferred
• Ability to multitask and be well-organized
• Individual must be able to lift a minimum of 60+ pounds
