BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
is to ensure the upkeep and functionality of a building’s systems and structures. They perform various maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance, across different areas like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and grounds keeping. Duties Include Fixing minor issues with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems. Cleaning and maintaining the Mechanical, Electrical, and Pump rooms and the equipment in them. Performing carpentry and painting and addressing structural problems. Conducting regular inspections of building systems to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards. Performing routine maintenance tasks like changing filters, lubricating equipment, and testing systems to prevent major issues. Maintaining outdoor areas as needed. Cleaning of floors with industrial floor cleaner. Oversee the trash and recycling collection. Monitoring and ordering maintenance supplies and equipment. Keeping records of inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities. Communicating with building occupants, supervisors, and contractors to address maintenance needs and coordinate repairs. Responding to emergencies such as fire alarms, HVAC system malfunctions, and security system alarms. Identifying and diagnosing issues with building systems and equipment. Ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations and participating in safety workshops.
