This position is being filled using Direct-Hire Authority (5 CFR 337.201) for this occupion. Duties Included, but not limited to: Ensure th operion, maintenance and repair of all mechanical aspects of building and facilities maintained. Install, maintain, repair, and inspect all varieties of equipment. Install, maintain and repair all wer, high pressure steam, medical gas and vacuum systems, non-medical sterilizion equipment, kitchen equipment, wer based fire protection systems, domestic wer chlorining systems, wer softeners and gas systems. Inspect piping, valves, medical gas systems, control fittings, and auxiliary equipment of steam plant, gas-fired equipment and steam, gas and wer distribution systems for defects. Disassemble and repair damaged sections or fabrices replacements from stock. Maintain all facility sewer systems and storm drain systems. Install, modify, and repair new and existing high-pressure piping systems and equipment. Work from building plans, blueprints, and sketches to lay out plan, placement and operion of various piping systems and equipment.

A Physical Requirements :

Selectee may frequently work in hot, humid, confined spaces around equipment and systems associed with facilities. Selectee must climb ladders, bend, crouch, stoop and endure prolonged periods of standing and walking. Selectee must lift parts and supplies weighing up to 40 lbs. Must be physically fit as work involves lifting, pulling, climbing, crawling, working with hands over head, working in confined areas, and using arm and back muscles. Selectee must possess ability to be on feet for long periods either standing, walking, working off ladder, or staging merials, and lifting equipment.
