Assembly Maintenance Technician 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 21 Voestalpine Dr NE, White, GA 30184 Summary/Objective The Assembly Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment deficiencies to maximize equipment efficiency, reliability and overall effectiveness. Assures specific quality guidelines are met and, if necessary, takes appropriate actions and measures to rectify quality issues. 2. Maintains a safe and clean work area. 3. Identifies problems and issues in robotic systems, communicates with robotics engineers, specialists, or other staff to diagnose and understand issues. 4. Troubleshoots, repairs or corrects problems, which may include repairs and revisions to hardware (disassembly and reassembly of robots and peripheral equipment). 5. Installs, repairs and maintains robots and controls equipment such as controllers, end-of-arm tooling, conveyors, etc. 6. Uses tools, templates, microscopes, and fixtures to align, fit, or assemble components. 7. Uses tools such as electronic voltmeters and oscilloscopes to test the performance of the machines; documents procedures and test results. 8. Evaluates the efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems; reprograms, calibrates, or makes recommendations for enhancements to achieve maximum quantity and quality. 9. Performs preventive and curative maintenance on robotic and controls systems and components. 10. Maintains service records for automated production systems and robotic equipment. 11. Maintains SCA glue systems. 12. Performs teaching and repairs of Kuka and Fanuc robots. 13. Maintains Festo, Harting and SMC pneumatic components. 14. Maintains Borris and Couth marker systems. 15. Follows all guidelines set forth in our Safety and 5s training. 16. Other duties and responsibilities can be assigned based on company needs and skills level. Competencies 1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 2. Basic understanding of mechanical repair, computer programming, and electric circuit design 3. Basic understanding of control devices 4. Thorough understanding of diagnostic and repair tools including oscilloscopes and multimeters 5. Troubleshooting abilities of electrical circuits mainly 24VDC control circuits 6. Basic knowledge of Profibus/net communications between fixtures and robots 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete logs and reports 9. Knowledge of Siemens PLC 10. Knowledge and ability to read / understand European schematics 11. Ability to teach points on Kuka and Fanuc robots Knowledge of pneumatics Required Education and Experience 1. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience 2. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with Fanuc and Kuka robots 3. Experience with creating, optimizing and maintaining robot programs 4. Experience with setting up, adjusting, and maintaining parameters 5. Experience with breakdown diagnostics regarding processes and robotics 6. Experience with Microsoft Office suite programs
