Job Summary of Maintenance Technician:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our night shift team. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, welding/fabrication experience, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain heavy industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and the flexibility to work a rotating or fixed night schedule.
Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Technician:
Promote and adhere to all safety protocols Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems Perform welding, torch cutting, fabrication, and light carpentry as needed Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment Install, repair, or rebuild machine tools and special purpose machinery Disassemble and assess mechanical equipment, replacing or repairing components Maintain both production equipment and facility infrastructure Interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics
Qualifications of Maintenance Technician:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications in industrial maintenance preferred
Experience:
3-5 years as a heavy industrial millwright or maintenance mechanic 5+ years of welding/fabrication experience (SMAW, MIG, TIG)
Skills of Maintenance Technician:
Ability to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Effective communication and listening skills Competence with basic math and measuring conversions Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform manual labor for extended periods Work Environment 12-hour night shifts Potential assignments include weekday nights (Mon-Wed or Mon-Thurs) or weekend nights (Thurs-Sun or Fri-Sun) Industrial facility with active production equipment and machinery
