Key Responsibilities:
Strip, wax, buff, and burnish hard surface flooring (e.g., VCT, terrazzo, linoleum) Perform carpet care including extraction and low-moisture cleaning Operate and maintain equipment such as auto-scrubbers, burnishers, extractors, and vacuum systems Follow safety protocols for chemical use and equipment handling Complete daily and project-specific cleaning logs Respond to supervisor assignments and client requests promptly Maintain storage and work areas in clean and safe condition Assist with special cleaning projects during school breaks or after-hours events
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in floor care or janitorial services Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods Knowledge of stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction processes Familiarity with SDS and chemical safety Owning personal floor care equipment is a plus Reliable transportation and punctuality Strong attention to detail and accountability Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or special events when needed
