If you can’t pass a background check or drug screening, do not apply. We are a commercial facilities maintenance company servicing the Atlanta Metro. We have electricians, plumbers, carpenters, locksmiths, and handymen on the team and we are in need of another handyman with drywall repair and finishing skills to help us service our customers. Our customers are retail locations, offices, medical facilities, daycares, dog daycares, and manufacturing & distribution facilities. They need us to help keep their facilities running and we need you to help us accomplish that. We are looking for a handyman with strong drywall repair and painting skills. No one trick ponies. You need to have other skills besides drywall and painting. This is not a job for someone looking to sit around and drink coffee. Additionally, there will be after hours work and we will pay you time and half to perform that work. We provide a company card for gas and materials purchases. We provide uniforms. We provide a $125 a week vehicle stipend for the use of your vehicle as long as you have worked at least 30 hours. Responsibilities Say what you’re going to do and do what you say you’re going to do. Assess and repair drywall damage to a smooth indistinguishable appearance. Perform maintenance and light repairs Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks, etc.) Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.g. fix cabinets) Repair equipment or appliances Diagnosis and fix minor electrical and plumbing Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks Identify and report the need for major repairs. Provide accurate and honest solutions. Skills Proven experience as a maintenance person Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing Basic math skills Ability to effectively communicate with your peers, the office staff and the customer Well-organized and apt in problem-solving Attention to detail Painting Interior and Exterior Drywall Repair / Patching / Caulking Minor Plumbing and Minor Electrical Knowledge Flooring Repair and Installation Handyman, General Repairs Great customer service and client relations Knowledge of building codes Material management Additional Requirements Must provide your own tools Must have a smart phone and know how to use it Must provide reliable transportation during the probationary period A background check (No burglary, theft, robbery, fraud, embezzlement, and any other crimes of dishonesty)
